About Sims Law, LLC
After 35 years practicing law in Indiana and Pennsylvania, Suzette Vandivier Sims launched her own practice in 2025--Sims Law, LLC--with a focus on estate planning and elder law. A graduate of Indiana University--Bloomington, Suzette, from 1989 to 2008, practiced as a litigator with law firms in the Indianapolis and Bloomington, Indiana area and served as Deputy Attorney General for the State of Indiana. When her husband became a vice president at Penn State, she moved with her young family to Pennsylvania, where she was associated with McQuaide Blasko the past 15 years.
The daughter and granddaughter of lawyers, whose practice of law, combined with her own, spans nearly a century, Suzette has found a natural calling in her legal work. After decades focusing on civil litigation, Suzette appreciates the opportunity to work with and advocate for older clients and individuals with special needs.
A member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and the Pennsylvania Association of Elder Law Attorneys, Suzette has found time since moving to State College to contribute to her community in various ways, including serving as president of the Board of Directors for the Centre County Women’s Resource Center (now known as Centre Safe) and as a member of the Centre County Board of Elections.
